REVIEWS from our campers...

"We had a relaxed stay and the pitch was very private with beautiful surroundings. Anne was lovely from the moment of booking, to the time we left. The private toilet and shower facilities were a big plus and very well equipped, Anne has really thought of everything! If you are looking for a private and relaxed camping experience then this is the place, we just wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back".

"We loved this campsite. Book it. Book it quickly before everyone realises it's there and you can't get in! The peace and seclusion of wild camping but with facilities. Private facilities! Only 3 well spaced out pitches, we didn't see our neighbouring campers all weekend. You have your own toilet tent complete with hand basin. Do go for the gas fired shower option, it's brilliant, in it's own tent with changing room and also comes with an outside table and washing up sink unit with tap. Table, chairs and parasol also provided. Anne has really thought of everything. I like comfortable camping and with the great facilities you don't need to take so much of your own stuff, it makes your weekend get away so much easier. The site itself is lovely to relax in with bird hides dotted around, woodlands, orchard, Annes gallery and a pond and wildflower meadows planned. There is loads to do in Lincoln, castle, shops, restaurants. You can walk to Burton Waters Marina which has lovely restaurants, bars and cafes.   The roads are quiet for cycling or there are a few trails nearby.  On a rainy day try Hemswell Antiques centre, it's massive, allow plenty of time! Don't hesitate to book, you'll love it".

"Part of me (the selfish part) doesn’t want to tell everyone how amazing Anne’s camp is incase I can’t get booked again! But in all seriousness you need to go, Anne has thought of absolutely everything. Not only is it set on her beautiful 5 acres, each pitch is like your own hideaway. We didn’t see the other campers at all. There was something incredibly special about being tucked away surrounded by the woodland watching the bats and stars come out at night. We will most certainly be back time and time again".

"Just returned from a weekend break at 'Wild at Heart Garden' and wanted to leave a review. When writing a review, we tend to consider four things. Host, location, amenities, price. We also try and be honest, highlighting both positive and not so positive perspectives.

This was probably one of the easiest reviews we have given, one word can describe all four things we consider. That word is "perfect." One word would be an injustice though to how lovely this place is.

Anne was super fast and extremely helpful with any queries leading up to the booking. She met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the whole garden and facilities, sharing her history, knowledge and obvious passion for the little slice of heaven she has created.

We were the only people there so had the whole place to wander around and use, lots of little paths to explore, fabulous wild garden, places to chill and watch the wildlife, including camouflaged hides with comfy chairs. Each pitch is immaculately planned, perfectly mown and incredibly flat. They are set in their own area so don't think you will be tripping over other people's guy ropes or listening to their conversations. There is plenty of room between each pitch and due to the planning and foliage, you cant even see where other people may be. It honestly feels like you are in the wild.

The amenities offered are just outstanding, gas powered hot shower in its own tent with attached drying area. The shower was divine. Hot water sink with drying racks, under an awning, just outside the shower was super appreciated. Beats washing dishes under a cold tap anyday. Another tent with your own individual toilet with hand basin is provided, again, perfect. No long dash to a shared toilet and having to join a queue.

Parasol and chairs were also provided but yet again, Anne goes one step further and even has proper covers over them to keep them perfect. Everything was just perfectly clean, tidy, working and looked after. There is no reason to leave the pitch but if you do, there are plenty of things to do nearby.

Price, that was just incredible value for money. Anne really does want people to be happy and comfortable, her prices are amazing for the experiences she provides.

There honestly isn't anything negative to say. This place is pure bliss, beautiful garden in absolute silent surroundings, outside but with indoor comforts and a wonderful host who couldn't do enough to make you feel extra special. We left feeling totally relaxed and have already spoke about going back in a few weeks.

If you get a chance to come here, jump at it, you will not be disappointed.

Sometimes, you touch lucky and find a jewel. Wild at Heart Garden and Anne are both jewels. Thank you from both of us and the dog".

"Most peaceful location for a secluded camping weekend with good facilities in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this site. It had everything I wanted in my weekend away as it was in open country a 2 min drive outside of a village with amenities and a very secluded and peaceful location. The host was very pleasant and welcoming and went to every effort to ensure a comfortable stay, with great attention to detail in the facilities provided, and easy contact. The site is quite large overall but arranged into 3 secluded pitches each with their own washing facilities in tents, tables and chairs and peaceful setting surrounded by plants and trees, or views of the surrounding fields. I was lucky enough to be on my own the weekend of my visit so had free rein to wander the whole site. Saxilby has a station, a few lively pubs, a co op, chippy and a Chinese. Also nearby is Lincoln and Hull or the coast a bit further for days out. Highly recommend and I am already hoping to go back this year."
